We are pleased to announce the installation of Leica EM GP2.
The instrument is located on the ground floor of Sherman building.

Leica EM GP2 is an easy to use, safe and reproducible plunge freezer for sample preparation for single particle analysis and cryo-tomography.

The EM GP2 plunger freezes fluid or extremely thin samples spread on an electron microscopy grid into liquid ethane after removing excess fluid by automatic blotting.

Prior to freezing the sample is maintained in a temperature and humidity controlled environmental chamber, adjustable between +4°C and +60°C and room humidity to 99 %. 
 

Usage of the new of Leica EM GP2 will only be possible after receiving instruction from Dr. Rotem Rubinstein or who have been trained by an operator authorized by Dr. Rotem.
