The mission of the Zoology program is to provide students with broad education in integrative zoology, and experience in multiple approaches and methods applied in zoological research.
About the Program
In zoological research we study the organism and its interaction with the environment. Zoological research is multidisciplinary and combines traditional methods such as field observations, and microscopy, with cutting edge methods in molecular biology, movement ecology and eco-physiology. Students interact with leading scientists in the field of zoology in Israel and abroad, and conduct research on exciting organisms and in unique habitats. Zoological research deals with fundamental and timely topics such as global warming, species extinction, and invasive species.
Students will receive broad education in integrative zoology, and will be trained in more traditional methods such as field observations and microscopy, as well as cutting edge methods in molecular biology, movement ecology and eco-physiology.
