Four Shmunis researchers are among the rector’s list for excellent teaching

Two of our school’s faculty members, Prof. Avigdor Eldar and Prof. Martin Kupiec, were listed last week in the prestigious TAU rector’s list for excellent teaching.

The list includes only 20 faculty members from all over the university. Prof. Eldar and Prof. Kupiec are the only representatives of the George S. Wise Faculty of Life Sciences in this list.  

The doctoral students Ms. Noa Ecker and Mr. Oren Avram were also listed in the prestigious TAU rector’s list for excellent teaching of junior faculty members.

 
Prof. Tal Pupko, the head of the Shumnis School for Biomedicine and Cancer Research, blessed them and said: “Avigdor and Martin are outstanding researchers, each of them at his own frontier, and we are very proud of their accomplishment in the field of teaching. Their students are really fortunate to have such lecturers in the undergraduate studies. Noa and Oren, who are research students in my group, are both gifted teachers and excellent researchers and there is no wonder why they were listed as well. Avigdor, Martin, Noa and Oren, very well done!”

Avigdor and Martin join previous awardees from our School, which include: Prof. Orna Elroy Stein, Prof. Marcelo Ehrlich, Prof. Adi Stern, Prof. Eran Bacharach ,Prof. Jonathan Gershoni, Prof. Itai Benhar, Prof. Tal Pupko and Dr. Dudu Burstein.

 
In addition, Prof Eldar, Prof. Kupiec as well as Prof. Adi Stern, Prof. Tal Pupko, and Dr. David Burstein were also listed in the Faculty’s list for excellent teaching.
