BREAKING YIELD BARRIERS OF CROP PLANTS

Dear friends and colleagues

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to participate in the forthcoming:

Batsheva de Rothschild Seminar: Breaking yield barriers of crop plants which will take place on March 28 - April 1, 2016 at Ein-Gedi, an oasis on the shores of the Dead Sea, Israel.

The program will incorporate the following topics:

Plant genome evolution

Crop breeding

Biodiversity of crops and wild relatives

Photosynthesis and yield

Plants for health

Redesigning plant architecture

Genome editing

Synthetic biology

Ways of the future

Participants wishing to present a poster are invited to submit an abstract.  A number of abstracts will be selected for oral presentation.

The seminar will also afford ample time for discussion and social interactions with colleagues during the breaks and the tours of the area.

The Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, is an area rich in natural, archaeological and biblical history. The pleasant climate and magnificent natural landscape provide the ideal setting for our seminar.

We look forward to welcoming all our guests to Israel, and to making this a fun learning event.
