About Manna Center

“And the people of Israel called the bread Manna” Exodus 16:31

Founded in 2013 with a generous seed-donation from the Manna Foundation, the Manna Center’s Program for Food Safety and Security is the first of its kind in Israel, and works in three complementary spheres of activity: Teaching, Research, and Outreach.

Our approach to food security is interdisciplinary.

We believe that only by bringing together different disciplines and sectors, we will be able to ensure a more food-secure future and encourage awareness and positive change in public policy, research, and the business world, locally and globally.

The Program seeks to harness Israeli innovation and knowledge and promote Tel Aviv University’s breakthrough research in the fight toward a more food-secure world - our version of the biblical Manna.
