Save The Date- "How to Feed 9 Billion People?"- 6 March 2018

The School of Sustainability at IDC Herzliya and TAU’s Manna center program for food safety and security are organizing the third annual conference on "How will we feed 9 billion people in a healthy manner?"

The conference will take place on March 6 2018 at 09:00 AM.

With over 9 billion mouths to feed globally, ensuring a secure supply of food is a burgeoning and critical challenge for scientists and policymakers alike.

The conference will tackle questions on the health aspects of both food and water in feeding the global population. Our current overconsumption of both resources and unhealthy food products harm the individual and the environment. How can we use our resources more wisely, and what are the implications? Invited speakers will include policy makers, researchers and industry’s experts.  

With the growing need to protect existing food supply as well as reimagining the food supply chain for the near future, nutritionists and economists must collaborate with scientists and policymakers, in an interdisciplinary approach to amend the current situation.

The conference will be held in Hebrew and the entrance is free.
